To begin with, it is bewildering to me that PGV was given the go ahead earlier this year to drill 24/7. Did
City Hall not foresee the backlash there would be from the neighboring residences to the PGV plant?
That lack of wisdom is disturbing enough in itself. Voting for Bill 292 is simply just the decent and
humane thing to do. Remember"Do unto others...". Voting against the bill will be a major slap in the
face to all people who believe that one purpose of government is to protect the health and quality of life of
its citizens.
I am not anti-geothermal. The resource should be developed far from residential areas. In the long run, it
might be cheaper to develop geothermal in remote areas. At its current location PGV, the county and the
state can anticipate costly lawsuits and legal hurdles for years to come.
SOLAR ENERGY is a BETTER solution.
