Subject: COUNCIL TESTIMONY COMM 880 - HAWAII ISLAND ENERGY GENERATION
COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS SPREADSHEET
COUNCIL TESTIMONY COMM. 880
Aloha County Council Members,
Below is a spreadsheet outline for all possible energy generating capabilities on Hawaii
Island. Column 1 lists the different energy
generating possibilities. Columns 2 - 12 list the issues to compare
the listed generating possibilities. I have provided a copy to Helco but have not heard
from them. Helco is asking us the ratepayers to contact the renewable energy providers
and request they rewrite their contracts. We need the specifics from Helco so that we may
intelligently discuss this with the renewable providers. That is the specific information
the spread sheet will provide. Not only do we the ratepayers need this specific
information to support Helco's contract rewriting efforts, but so don't you and the PUC.
How can any decisions be made in a factual vacuum?
