Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 579, and
attached Resolution No. 188-99 reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 188-99 is to authorize the grant of easement for waterline easement to
the County Water Commission at Paauilo, District of Hamakua, Island, County and State of Hawaii,
Tax Map Key No. (3) 4-3-18:54.
Communication No. 579 is from Director of Finance, Harry A. Takahashi, dated December 3, 1999,
transmitting Resolution No. 188-99, for the Council's review and consideration. Mr. Takahashi states
that the purpose of the easement is to ensure proper access to the water meter for reading and
maintenance.
Committee Chair Yagong informed the Committee that the surveys and plans for this project were
done by the Hamakua Housing Corporation through funding from the US Department of Agriculture.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 188-99, and recommends
its adoption.
