Re: Operating Budget
The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is providing
$7,980 of additional funding to the Hawai`i County Police Department's (HCPD's) Data Grant
program. The grant funds will be used to allow the HCPD to purchase a server needed for their
crash data transfer project.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
additional funds into the Data Grant program account and bringing the total grant appropriation
to $126,000.

funds for the cost of a server. The server is needed for Hawaii County Police Department's crash data
transfer project, in order for the interface between HCPD and Hawaii Information Consortium/HDOT to work.
