RESOLUTION NO. 29 13
A RESOLUTION TO NOMINATE A DIRECTOR TO SERVE ON THE WESTERN
INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS,the Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) is a nonprofit
corporation comprised of members of the four county councils of the State of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, each county council represented on HSAC is a member of the National
Association of Counties (NACo) and the Western Interstate Region (WIR), an organization
comprised of western counties that is affiliated with NACo; and
WHEREAS, HSAC bylaws allow the nomination of a Director to serve on the WIR
Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi, as the vice president of HSAC, is
eligible to serve as a Director on the WIR Board of Directors; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi is hereby nominated to serve as a Director on the
Western Interstate Region Board of Directors.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk transmit copies of this
resolution to the President and Secretary of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties.
