As a nearby resident I can testify to the disturbance , stress and the general loss of well being caused by the recent 24/7 drilling noise and vibration at Puna Geothermal Ventures. It is way past the time to stop marginalizing the people who live here, or anywhere that drilling may take place on the islands in the future and establish standards of care and protection for them. • Geothermal drilling produces tow frequency noise which creates stress on anyone near it. • It is unfair for a company to subject neighbors to this noise day and night so that they can save money. • The night-time noise interferes with evening time at home and sleep, which affects children and adults alike. • PGV's permits say they must comply with all local ordinances. Their current permits do not allow them to ignore the law, despite what their lawyers say. I would like to thank the county council for making this effort to protect our health and well being .
