Through our government, citizens should perpetuate, manage and improve our access to the coastline, particularly the valuable Papa'ikou recreational and fishing resource. The landowners have attempted to limit and control coastline access. As a hiker, kayaker and bodyboarder who recreates on the Hamakua coast and as recreational user of the ocean at Papa'ikou, I believe that acquisition of these easements is important for our children and generations to come as well as four ourselves. Thank you for your consideration of my testimony, Sincerely, Deborah Ward P.O.Box 198 Kurtistown HI 96760 808 966 7361 Comm. N . Ref. To: 1 Ref. Date AMU A 9 2012
