AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 3, SECTION 24-275 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO BUS STOPS AND PUBLIC ROAD TAXI STANDS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. This measure was generated due to the Traffic Division's observation that having the existing bus stop directly adjacent to the marked parking stalls impedes pull-in access to the bus stop area. The proposed location for the bus stop will allow the addition of one parking stall and a 46' no parking zone/gap for the buses to use for a pull-in area to access the relocated bus stop. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 3, Section 24-275, Schedule 23. Bus Stops and Public Road Taxi Stands, subsection (c) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by revising existing item: (1) Aupuni Street, southwest side, from a point seven hundred SEVENTY-THREE SEVEN feet southeast of Pauahi Street and extending forty FOUR feet in the southeasterly direction. SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
