He served as a Planner V for the City and County of Honolulu from 1970 — 1978. Mr. Harris is a self-employed independent consultant and has been actively involved with both the South Kohala Resort area and the new development at the University of Hawai'i near Kona International Airport. He is a board member of the Puakai (lima o Kawaihae and the Kealakekua Ranch Corporation, and a member of the Kawaihae Canoe Club and the Waimea Community Association. Mr. Harris's extensive knowledge of the construction industry and the planning process will provide an excellent viewpoint into the Action Committee meetings and discussions. o John Mueller (4-year term): Mr. Mueller is a full-time resident of Waikoloa for one year, but has been travelling every year to the Big Island for approximately 20 years. He has a Master of Arts degree and is nationally trained in Mathematics. Mr. Mueller served as the curriculum coordinator at a Magnet school and is now retired after 25 years of teaching. He is a volunteer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a member of the West Hawaii Astronomy Club and the Waikoloa Seniors Group. Mr. Mueller's ability to teach and work with others in the public will be an asset to the Action Committee. Council Action Due By: February 23, 2013 C/u Last Council Meeting: February 20, 2013 Comm. Council Chairman J Yoshimoto and Members January 7, 2013 Page 2 o Fran Tabor (4-year term): Ms. Tabor is a 15-year resident of Kamuela. She received her masters degree in Psycholgy in 1971 and her Doctor of Optometry in 1995. Ms. Tabor was an original member of the South Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee who resigned due to medical reasons. She is now ready to continue serving on this committee. Ms. Tabor is active as a volunteer at the North Kohala Community Hospital and for Election Polls and she is a member of the Waimea Community Association, the Waimea Outdoor Circle, the Lalamilo Farmers Association and the Waimea Traffic Safety Committee. She also serves on the Board of the Friends for T. Parker Library. Ms. Tabor will provide an extensive background and involvement with the entire community and its interaction with this committee.
