Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred
Res. No. 24-13, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 24-13, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Katherine Garson via
Communication No. 34, dated December 10, 2012, accepts the dedication of lot 26-A-2, a
portion of tax map key: (3) 1-6-152:026 (portion of Milo street), situate at Kea`au, District of
Puna, Island and County of Hawai`i, State of Hawaii, from W. H. Shipman, Limited.
W. H. Shipman, Limited is desirous of granting the roadway lot, including all subdivision
improvements,to the County of Hawai`i for roadway purposes (containing an area of 0.098
acre).
This resolution(Resolution No. 281-12, Comm. No. 790)was originally placed on the PWPRC
Committee Agenda for September 5, 2012 but was withdrawn by introducer Fred Blas at the
request of the Assistant Corporation Counsel Katherine Garson due to a typographic error in the
TMK number.
Councilmember Zendo Kern recused himself from voting after disclosing involvement in the
project to avoid appearance of impropriety.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 24-13, and recommends its adoption.
