Ashida as Corporation Counsel for the County of Hawai'i, pursuant to the requirements of the Charter of the County of Hawai'i. Mr. Ashida served as the County of Hawai'i Corporation Counsel from December 2000 to December 3, 2012. During this period he worked effectively within the Corporation Counsel leadership and the administration in overseeing County Corporation Counsel operations island- wide. Pursuant to Rule 5(6) (g) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawai'i, we respectfully request a waiver of this nomination through Committee so that it may be considered by the full Council on February 6, 2013.
