Comm. 86: (Bill 30) AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 12 -87, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2012 TO JUNE 30, 2013 From Council Member Brenda J. Ford, dated January 11, 2013. Adds the Parks and Recreation, Kona Emergency Shelter & Multi- purpose Event Center project for $3 million to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund -Fund Balance and/or Other Sources ($3 million). This project will provide for a multi- purpose center capable of holding large events as well as provide an emergency shelter for the residents of Kona. Ford, dated January 15, 2013. Adds the Parks and Recreation, Kahuku Park Improvements – Phase 1, Water Improvements project for $60,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance and/or Other Sources ($60,000). This project addresses public health and safety concerns by providing an ample source of potable water for drinking, irrigation, and for an auxiliary source during emergencies. Comm. 95: AUTHORIZES THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $250 (Res. 44-13) TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION TO ASSIST WITH PARKS MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated January 22, 2013.
