G5 13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) POSTAGE METER FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CORPORATION COUNSEL WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for two (2) years, for one (1) postage meter for the Office of the Corporation Counsel; and WHEREAS, the current postage meter is nearly ten (10) years old and near the end of its useful life; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a two (2) year lease agreement for one (1) postage meter for the Office of the Corporation Counsel. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this postage meter shall be leased for a period of two (2) years, at a cost not to exceed $21.84 per month. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Office of the Corporation Counsel, and the Finance Department.
