RE: Resolution for Multi-Year Lease
Attached is the Resolution requesting your signature and to introduce a multi-year office lease
for the Office of the Legislative Auditor located at the Ironworks Building, 1266 Kamehameha
Avenue, Suite A-8, Hilo, Hawai'i. Suite A-8 is a smaller unit resulting in monthly savings. This
space is deemed to be ADA compliant.
As previously mentioned, there is no available office space located at the County Building. An
inspection of office space located at 80 Pauahi Street, Unit 101, was deemed to have significant
ADA compliance issues that would result in substantial upfront cost in order to make the office
space ADA compliant.
Currently our office lease is on a month-to-month basis. We kindly request this Resolution be
waived from committee and agendized for the March 13, 2013 Hawai'i County Council Meeting.

RE: Resolution No. 70-13 : A Resolution Authorizing the County of Hawai`i to Enter
into a Multi-Year Lease of Unit A-8, 1,755 Square Feet More or Less, Being within One of
the Buildings Situated on Real Property in Hilo, Hawai`i, Tax Map Key:(3)2-2-001-030.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
