Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 121, reports as
follows:
Communication No. 121, from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated January 25, 2013 transmits the
nomination of Ms. Barbara J. Meheula to the Hawai`i County Cultural Resources Commission.
Ms. Meheula is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i. She is a retired recreation director. Ms. Meheula
states that she is a member of the Democratic Party. She will serve a 4-year term, and is not
required to appear before the Council for final confirmation.
Your Committee on Planning is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Communication
No. 121, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Ms. Barbara J. Meheula to the
Hawai`i County Cultural Resources Commission.
