Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 121, reports as
follows:
Communication No. 121, from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated January 25, 2013 transmits the
nomination of Mr. Alapaki P. Nahale-a to the Hawai`i County Cultural Resources Commission.
Mr. Nahale-a is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i. He is the Director of Community Programs at
Kamehameha Schools. Mr. Nahale-a states that he is not affiliated with any political party.
He will serve a 3-year term, and is not required to appear before the full Council for final
confirmation.
Your Committee on Planning is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Communication
No. 121, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Mr. Alapaki P. Nahale-a to the
Hawai`i County Cultural Resources Commission.
