Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 121,reports as
follows:
Communication No. 121, from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated January 25, 2013 transmits the
nomination of Ms. Christine Y. Wada to the Hawai`i County Cultural Resources Commission.
Ms. Wada is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i. She is a retired teacher who worked for the
Department of Education for 38 years. Ms. Wada states that she is not affiliated with any
political party. She will serve a 2-year term, and is not required to appear before the full Council
for final confirmation.
Your Committee on Planning is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Communication
No. 121, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Ms. Christine Y. Wada to the
Hawaii County Cultural Resources Commission.
