Poindexter, Council Member District l SUBJECT: Certificate of Recognition Presentation for March 13"'Council Meeting I am requesting your approval to present three certificates on March 13, 2013, during the Council meeting. The Fire Department would also want to present certificates to the same recipients at the same time. The recipients will be recognized for their heroism and bravery. The first two recipients, Michael Patterson and Christopher Hipsher both arrived at a scene of a multiple patient motor vehicle accident on highway 19, Kalopa road intersection in Honoka'a September 10, 2012. They provided medical assistance to the patients and were instrumental in the delivery of patient care before and after the arrival of EMS and HFD personnel. The final recipient, Ronald P. Kanakanui had assisted in the rescue of two family members from a severe house fire incident on January 2, 2013 in Honomu. The recipients will be in attendance to accept their certificates. We expect to take approximately twenty(20)minutes at the Council Meeting on March 13, 2013. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact or e-mail my office.
