Comm. 164: (Res. 75 -13) URGES THE MAYOR TO IMMEDIATELY IMPLEMENT THE WEST HAWAII SCHOOL IMPACT FEE From Council Member Margaret Wille, dated February 21, 2013, urging the Mayor to implement Title 18, Chapter 302A, Section 302A -1601 through 302A -1612 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The law requires new residential developments within designated school impact districts to provide land for schools, or pay a fee in lieu of providing land, proportionate to the impact of the development on existing schools in the area. Kenoi, dated January 11, 2013, transmitting the above bill and enclosures, with a favorable recommendation from the Leeward Planning Commission. The applicant is requesting a 5-year time extension to comply with Condition D (final subdivision approval) and Condition J (fair share requirements). Postponed: February 19, 2013 (Note: There is a pending motion made by Ms. Eoff and seconded by Ms. Poindexter to recommend passage of Bill 33 on first reading.)
