It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Gregory C. Henkel of the Puna District to the County
of Hawaii Windward Planning Commission. Mr. Henkel is a 26-year resident of Hawaii.
He is a self-employed artist/manufacturer and an instructor at Connections Public
Charter School.
Mr. Henkel is a member of the Black Sands Beach Property Owners Association, the
East Hawaii Community Development Corporation and the Puna Canoe Club. He
states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, Mr. Henkel will serve
a term that will expire on December 31, 2017, replacing Mr. Dean Au whose term
expired on December 31, 2012.
