SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-257 — 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT - ALII DRIVE
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 1
(Speed Limits), Section 24-257, Schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit), subsection (f), Kona
be amended by revising existing item as follows:
(1) Ali`i Drive, from [the] Kamehameha III Road [intersection] to [a point n 20 mile
-- ] MAMALAHOA BYPASS HIGHWAY.
The purpose of this amendment is to revise the speed limits along Ali`i Drive to be more
appropriate to the current conditions of the roadway.
A location map is attached for your reference.
