Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Keith T. Morioka of Council District 3 to the County of Hawaii
Police Commission. Mr. Morioka is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. He is presently retired and
was previously employed by the State of Hawaii Department of Education as a District
Education Specialist—Athletics.
Mr. Morioka is a board member of the Positive Coaching Alliance — Big Island, the OIA Athletic
Foundation, the Hawaii Island Athletic Directors Association and the Nobu Yamauchi RBI
League. He states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a
term to end on December 31, 2017.
