AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11-40 OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, PERTAINING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING VARIOUS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS DESCRIBED THEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1 1-40 is amended to read as follows: "SECTION 2. Authorization of Bonds. There are hereby authorized for issuance and sale, in one or more series, Bonds of the County, in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $56,000,000, for the purpose of funding all or a portion of the costs (including costs of issuance of the Bonds) of public improvement projects authorized and set forth as follows: Project Description Estimated Cost Kawaihae Housing Closure [1,600,000] 308,667.45 Kaloko Housing Project [2,300,000] 3,591,332.55 Pool Drainage Covers 500,000 Puna Park—New Park Development 5,500,000 Kikala-Keokea New Park Development 100,000 North Kohala Recreational Facilities Repair and Upgrade 2,000,000 Banyan Beach Parking Lot 300,000 Kapi`olani Street Extension 8,700,000 Puna Makai Alternate Roadway(PMAR) 500,000 La'aloa Extension 20,000,000 Energy Efficiency Upgrades(DPW) 4,000,000 Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Station 3,000,000 Kalaniana`ole Interceptor Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 2 6,900,000 LWaimea Recycle and Transfer Station Garage 100,000 Bond Issuance Costs 500,000 Total 56,000,000 SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 4.
