Recreation, Kahuku Park Improvements, Phase 2, American Disability Act (ADA)
Ramps project for $600,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds shall be provided from the
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance and/or Other Sources
($600,000). The project will provide ADA ramps to the pavilions and ball field.

From Council Member Brenda J. Ford, dated January 31, 2013. Adds the Parks and
Recreation, Kahuku Park Improvements, Phase 3, Children’s Playground Equipment,
Matting, and Gazebo project for $250,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds shall be
provided from the General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance
and/or Other Sources ($250,000). The project will replace the playground equipment
and regulation matting to reduce fall injuries; and adds a gazebo and barbeque
apparatus.

(Bill 38) IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
JULY 1, 2012 TO JUNE 30, 2013
From Council Member Brenda J. Ford, dated January 31, 2013. Adds the Parks and
Recreation, Kahuku Park Improvements, Phase 4, Senior Center, Gymnasium, and
Emergency Shelter project for $5,100,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds shall be
provided from the General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance
and/or Other Sources ($5,100,000). The project will construct a facility for
multi-purpose uses: a senior center, a gymnasium for sports, and an emergency
shelter for overnights stays in the event of a disaster.

From Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated February 21, 2013. Appropriates revenues of
$700,000 in the Fund Balance from Previous Year account, and appropriates the
same to the Geothermal-OCE (Other Current Expenses) account ($700,000). The
purpose of the transfer is to address the multiple relocation requests that are being
processed under the Geothermal Relocation Program authorized by procedures set
forth in Ordinance No. 96-2 and Rule No. 10 of the Planning Commission Rules of
Practice and Procedure.

is requesting to establish two new permanent VRL Clerk II (SR-13) positions (one
for Hilo and one for Kona), which will be funded by the State Department of
Transportation. In addition to issuing State Identification (SID) cards, the positions
will also perform driver license and vehicle registration duties.
