RE: Request for amendment of current special counsel
contract for County of Hawaii v. Oceanside 1250 Partners,
et. al., Civ.No. 10-01-0157K
The Office of the Corporation Counsel respectfully requests the above
matter be placed on the March 28, 2013 agenda of the meeting of the Hawai'i
County Council. We ask permission of the Council to discuss this matter in
closed executive session.
This request is made pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4) and (8), Hawai'i
Revised Statutes, as amended (hereinafter"HRS"), and is made for the reason
we anticipate discussion on questions and issues pertaining to the Council's
powers, duties, privileges, immunities and liabilities in the hiring of special
counsel and the enlargement of the present special counsel contract. Further,
we anticipate discussion on pricing information protected from present disclosure
pursuant to HRS Sections103D-304(f) and 103D-105.
