Your Committee on Public Safety and Mass Transit, to which was referred Communication
No. 171, reports as follows:
Communication No. 171, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated February 12, 2013,
nominates Mr. Bryan H. Lindsey to the County of Hawai`i Liquor Control Adjudication Board.
Mr. Lindsey, a lifelong resident of Hawai`i, is currently the Hawai`i Island Manager of
Hawaiian Telcomn, and previously served on the Hawai`i County Water Board. Mr. Lindsey is a
member of the Hilo Bay Rotary Club, the Hawai`i Island Chamber of Commerce and the Royal
Order of Kamehameha. He will serve a term to end on December 31, 2017, if confirmed.
Committee Chair Ford specified that Mr. Lindsey does not need to appear before the full Council
for confirmation.
Your Committee on Public Safety and Mass Transit is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Communication No. 171, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Mr. Bryan H.
Lindsey to the County of Hawai`i Liquor Control Adjudication Board.
