Subject: repeal act 97
Dear council members:
Please repeal Act 97 and it's section relating to geothermal resource subzone provisions, county
permitting, and designating geothermal
exploration and development as permissible uses in all four major land use districts.
I live in Puna and feel that our county should have to approve of the expansion and development of Geo
thermal exploration here. I lack confidence in the leaders of the current expansion and feel that the
community is acting more in my best interest by forcing issues of concern that are otherwise not being
addressed adequately.
