Aloha
am submitting my testimony on Res . 42-13, the repeal of act 97 .
I support Res . 42-13 because I do not agree or approve of Act 97 and the way it strips the
people that live on this special island of the ability to keep geothermal out of our
backyards . Act 97 puts the power to make decision in the hands of people that do not °wive
here, and that is not Pono!
Mahalo for supporting this resolution and keeping us safe from geothermal, and all
industry development . We don't need it here on the islands . The Hawai ' lans lived a very
beautiful way of life here before industry showed up. I would like to get back to living
in harmony with Pele, and not have to be told constantly that developers are planning on
moving in.
