Re: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 64-13, Draft 2
Attached please find proposed amendments to Exhibit A of Resolution No. 64-13, Draft 2,
relating to affordable housing requirements.
The proposed amendment is illustrated below in Ramseyer format; material to be deleted is
bracketed and stricken.
Exhibit A of Resolution No. 64-13, Draft 2, is amended by deleting Item 2 in its entirety and
renumbering the subsequent item, to read as follows:
2. [Hawai`i County Change of Zone Ordinance 716, Section 1, Condition(E), regarding
curbs, gutters, and sidewalks:
subdivision roads to be improved with fully paved shoulders and drainage swales. This
would be consistent with the surrounding neighborhoods and would result in a
significant reduced cost for building affordable housing.]
Exhibit A is attached with the proposed amendment incorporated therein.

Exemption List
Hawaii County Code:
1. Hawai`i County Change of Zone Ordinance, Section 1, Condition B,
regarding increments:
• Suspend all phasing requirements on the development of the
project. This will allow the housing units to be built in 1 phase
instead of 2.
2. Hawai`i County Fees
• Exempt Subdivision Inspection Fee of 0.25% of subdivision
improvement costs; Building Permit Fees, and other County
Fees for the 43 affordable housing units only and not for any
market priced units. This will help reduce the costs of
producing affordable housing.
