HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0853.055 2010-2012 RLS -12 TESTIMONY TO COUNTY COUNCIL, Nov 21, 2012 I am Takeshi Matsunaka. I have lived at the end of Mill Road for my entire life of 93 years. I currently live in the last house on the Hamakua side of Mill Road, and I've been in this house since 1952. Over the years since the mill closed, non-resident parking along the side and at the end of Mill Road became a problem. People who parked there left much litter and trash. They came right into our property without permission to help themselves to the tangerines from our tree. The even parked in our driveway. On weekends, young people who parked at the end and on the side of the road kept us awake. They were loud and played music on their boom boxes at 1 :00 and 2:00 AM in the morning. It was hell! One time, someone parked on the side of the road across from our house, cut the lock on our downstairs door to steal tools, machinery and even our laundry. Please protect the Silverton Camp residents who live on Mill Road. Please do not allow outsiders to park on the road, the road shoulder or in vacant lots along Mill Road. Many of the houses in Silverton Camp are very close to the road. We ask for consideration in protecting our peace and safety. Thank you, 4 Takeshi Matsunaka -c .cc Comm. No. D/ Ref. Ref. Dote 2 1 2012
