Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 49
reports as follows:
Bill No. 49, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. 192
dated March 8, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4, Section 24-278, Schedule 26
(roads closed to pedestrian traffic), subsection(F) Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as amended)by deleting items (1) .76 mile portion of Haleki`i Street traveling east from
the Mamalahoa Bypass Highway intersection; and (2) Mamalahoa Bypass Highway, from Ali`i
Drive intersection to the Haleki`i Street intersection.
The purpose of this measure is to revise the Hawai`i County Code in accordance with the
Mamalahoa Highway Bypass Road project.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 49, and recommends its passage on first reading.
