Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 52
report as follows:
Bill No. 52, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. 195
dated February 28, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255, Schedule 3
(25 mile per hour limit), subsection(f), Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition,
as amended), by revising item (1) to read, "Ali`i Drive, from Mamalahoa Bypass Highway to its
terminus."
The purpose of this measure is to revise the speed limits along Mamalahoa Bypass Highway in
accordance with the Mamalahoa Bypass Road project and to be more appropriate to the current
conditions of the roadway.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 52, and recommends its passage on first reading.
