Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Donald J. David to the County of Hawai'i Tax Board of
Review. Mr. David has been a resident of Hawaii for the past 8 1/2 years. From 2007 to
2012 he was employed by Tax Associates as a Registered Tax Return Preparer. He is
currently retired.
Mr. David is the Director of the West Hawaii AARP Tax Aid, and a member of the
St. Michaels Catholic Church Finance Board. He was previously a member of the West
Sacramento Chamber of Commerce. Mr. David states that he is a Democrat. If
confirmed, he will serve a term to end on December 31, 2017, replacing Mr. Wes Takai,
whose term expired on December 31, 2012.
