Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Russell M. Arikawa, of Council District 3 to the County of
Hawai'i Water Board. Mr. Arikawa is lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He is employed by
Ginoza Realty Inc., as a realtor and property manager.
Mr. Arikawa is presently a director on the Hilo High School Foundation and the
Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association. He is a past president of the Hilo Little League
and a past director of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawai'i.
Mr. Arikawa states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will
serve a term to expire on December 31, 2017, replacing Bryan Lindsey whose term
expired on December 31, 2012.
