Subject: CIP Budget items for North Kohala
Aloha Councilmembers,
I represent Kamakani 0 Kohala Ohana -- KAKO'O -- and organization of
North Kohala residents, which strongly supports the inclusion of two items in
the 2013 CIP Budget, specifically:
2013025 -- Mahukona Beach Park Renovations ---$2.5 million
2013031 -- NK Recreational Facilities Repair and Upgrades ---$2 million
Our park facilities have been allowed to decay as the County anticipated
improvement funds as part of resort development that never happened. It
is time to make our parks safe, healthy and something that Kohala can be
proud of.
