Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 65, reports as follows:
Bill No. 65, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 105-13, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via
Communication No. 247, dated April 12, 2013, amends Chapter 19, Article 10, Section 19-53(j), of the
Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to breach of affordable rental housing
class.
The purpose of this measure is to replace the two-year plus current year rollback penalty with a rollback
penalty to the date of reclassification, but no more than the current year.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 65, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
