NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to the requirements of Section 19-90, Article 11, Chapter 19 of the Hawaii County Code, notice is
hereby given that the following public hearing will be held by the Council of the County of Hawaii for the purpose of
considering real property tax rates for all classes of real property in the County of Hawaii for Fiscal Year July 1, 2013 to
June 30. 2014.
DATE: May 14, 2013 (Tuesday)
TIME: 5 p.m.
PLACE: County Council Room, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii
The County Council will consider the following tax rates within the following range of rates for all classes of real
property for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 (current real property tax rates for the Fiscal Year
July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 and the Mayor's proposed budgeted tax rates for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2013 to
June 30, 2014 are shown in bold):

All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally at the hearing and must register
with the County Clerk's staff. Those submitting written testimony at the hearing should bring 14 copies for distribution.
Public testimony may also be submitted before 12 noon on the business day prior to the hearing: ( I ) by mail to the County
Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Room 1401, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720, (2) by facsimile to (808) 961-8912, or (3) by e-mail to
counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us. For testimony received via e-mail or fax, copies will be distributed at the hearing when
transmitted in a timely manner. All oral and written testimony will be made a part of the public record. The meeting place
is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons who need special accommodations for this hearing should call (808)
961-8255 by May 10, 2013. TTY users may use Relay Service (711)(961-8255) to contact our office.
