HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 396 Draft 01 1962 COUNTY Or HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. j6 WHEREAS , County of Hawaii Resolution No. 577, adopted September 15 , 195) , provides that the assistant superintendent of Kohala Hospital and Kona Hospital shall be the first assistant to the superintendent of said hospitals and shall have the powers and authority to act in the absence of the superintendent; and WHEREA ' , the position of assistant superintendent has not been created in any of the county hospitals ; and WHEREAS , it is desirable to designate an officer who shall have the powers and authority to act in behalf of the superintendent when the latter is unavailable ; and WHEREAS, by adopting Committee Report No . 91 of the Committee on Education , Health, Pars and Recreation, the Board of Supervisors has established a line of succession in the event the superintendent is incapacitated or unavailable . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that the third and fourth "Resolved" clauses of County of Hawaii Resolution No . 577 , adopted on September 15, 1959 , be and are hereby amended to read as follows : "RESOLVED, that the officer designated in the line of succession established by the board of supervisors be and is hereby declared to be the acting superintendent in the absence of the hospital superintendent . ri "RESOLVED, that each of the acting superintendent is hereby given the powers and authority to perform the duties of the hospital superintendent during the latterts absence ." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to send copies of this resolution to the county hospitals, Civil Service Department, County Auditor and to the County Attorney for their information.
