Comm. 256: AMENDS CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 14-1 OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY
(Bill 69) CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO INTOXICATING
LIQUORS PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN PUBLIC PLACES
From Council Vice Chair Karen Eoff, dated April 18, 2013. Amends Section 14-1 to
prohibit intoxicating liquors from County parking lots and facilities, including landscaping
strips, stairwells and pedestrian passageways, internal roadways and roadways for ingress
to and egress from such parking lot or facility.
Recommends passage of Bill 69 on first reading:
Ayes: Committee Members Eoff, Ilagan, Onishi, Poindexter,
Wille, Yoshimoto, and Chair Kanuha – 7.
Noes: None.
Absent: Committee Members Ford and Kern – 2.
