Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No.
881, and attached Resolution No. 307-00, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 307-00 is to authorize the County, pursuant to section 23-
10 ofthe Hawaii County Code and article XIII, section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Chazter, to accept a dedication deed transmitting real property for road and drainage
purposes from William V. Brilhante. The dedication deed is for a roadway lot located in
South Hilo, Hawaii ,specifically identified as Tax Map Key No: (3) 2-4-079:036
(portion), formerly Tax Map Key (3) 2-4-079:033 (portion).
Communication No. 881 is a letter from Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, dated
July 26, 2000, which transmits Resolution No. 307-00 to the County Council for its review
and consideration. Mr. Takase states in his letter that the deed has been reviewed by the
Department of Public Works, the Department of Water Supply, and the Planning
Department. All have recommended acceptance of the dedication deed. All subdivision
improvements have been completed.
Council Member J. Curtis Tyler, III voted kanalua twice.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 307-00 and
recommends that it be adopted.
