Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 914 and
attached Bill No. 314, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 314 is to amend Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-274.1,
Schedule 22.1 (Traffic signal systems), Subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995
Edition), to allow the installation of a traffic signal system at Route 11/Konawaena Elementary
School Road.
Communication No. 914 is a letter from Deputy Chief Engineer Jiro A. Sumada, dated
August 3l, 2000, which transmits Bill No. 314 to the Council for its review and consideration.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 314, and recommends that it
pass first reading.
