Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 925 and
attached Bill No. 319, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 319 is to amend Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280,
Schedule 28 (No pazking at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(1995 Edition) by deleting no pazking at anytime on mauka side of Pu`u`eo Street.
It a]so amends Division 6, Section 24-288, Schedule 36 (Freight loading zones), subsection (c) South
Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 Edition), by adding a freight loading zone on the
mauka side of Pu`u`eo Street.
Communication No. 925 is from Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, dated
September 12, 2000, transmitting Bi11319 for the Council's review and consideration.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 319, and recommends that it
pass first reading.
