Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 926,
and attached Bill No. 320, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 320 is to amend Chapter 24, Article 10, of the Hawaii County Code
1983 (1995 Edition) by proposing passenger loading zone, no parking zone and yield
locations regazding the Lindsey Road Improvements, Federal Aid Project No. STP-0100(42).
Communication No. 926 is from Deputy Chief Engineer Jiro A. Sumada, dated
September 15, 2000, transmitting Bill No. 320 for the Council's review and consideration.
Mr. Sumada states that this project includes the channelization of Route 19/Lindsey Road
intersection, a new Yield location and a new passenger loading zone fronting the Parker
School. The new no pazking zones are needed to accommodate the new channelization at
Route 19/Lindsey road intersection.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 320, and recommends
that it pass first reading.
