RESOLUTION NO. 120 13
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A
MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL
(VOIP) PHONE SYSTEM FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING
ATTORNEY IN KONA
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later
fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease
agreement for five (5) years, for a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone system for
the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the current phone system is approximately fifteen (15) years old and
can no longer be supported by new parts for repairs; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease
agreement for one a VOIP phone system for the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this VOIP phone system shall be leased for
a period of five (5) years, at a cost not to exceed $1,600 per month.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney, and the Finance Department.
