DEVELOPMENT OF THE LA`I`OPUA VILLAGE 4 SUBDIVISION WITHIN
TAX MAP KEYS 7 -4- 021:10 & PORTION OF 7 -4- 021:012, SITUATED IN
KEALAKEHE, NORTH KONA, HAWAII FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS

The applicant proposes to comply with Section 21 -28(a) of the County Code,
whereby they will construct the sewer extension and bear the total cost of the
installation for the County and in return, request reimbursement for the cost of the
sewer extension. The sewer extension serving the Phase 1 development will permit
the wastewater generated from this phase of the subdivision to be treated at the
Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Comm. 181: AMENDS CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE 4, SECTION 20 -47 OF THE HAWAII
(Bill 44) COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
COLLECTION OF FEES
From Council Member Zendo Kern, dated March 5, 2013. The bill establishes new
payment methods for commercial haulers, and reduces the grace period before which
a finance charge is implemented from 60 days to thirty 30 days for all overdue
collections of solid waste fees.

Submitting Written Testimony: Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring
fourteen (14) copies for distribution. Public testimony may also be submitted before 12:00 noon on

Submitting Video Testimony: Those submitting video testimony may email a complete web address

meeting. The email shall indicate the appropriate Committee or Council meeting, the meeting date,
agenda item (communication, bill, resolution, or report number), and number of testifiers on the video
submittal. Each video submittal shall be limited to a single agenda item. Video submittals may
contain up to three individual testifiers and shall each be up to three minutes in length. Video
testimony will not be played during the meeting; however, it will be distributed to Council Members
prior to the meeting. The Office of the County Clerk reserves the right to refuse testimony containing

Ka`u Videoconferencing Site Not Available on June 4, 2013
The June 4, 2013 Committee agendas incorrectly stated that the Hawaiian Ocean
View Estates Community Center will be a site for public participation via
videoconference.
Please be advised that the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Community Center,
92 -8924 Leilani Circle, will not take part in the June 4th Committee Meetings,
due to the military's Innovative Readiness Training "Tropic Care" program.
