AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1,
section 24 -257, schedule 5, of the Hawaii County Code 1983,
relating to 35- mile - per -hour speed limit zones, is amended by
adding a new item to be appropriately numbered and to read as
follows:
"( ) Kumukoa Street, from Mohouli Street to Lanikaula
Street."
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1,
section 24- 257(32), schedule 5, of the Hawaii County Code 1983,
0
relating to 35- mile - per -hour speed limit zones, is amended to read
as follows:
"(32) Manono Street, from Kamehameha Avenue to [Piilani
Street.] Kawili Street."
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1,
section 24- 258(11), schedule 6, of the Hawaii County Code 1983,
relating to 35- mile - per -hour maximum speed limit zones, is amended
to read as follows:
"(11) Lanikaula Street, from [Kilauea] Kumukoa Street to
Kanoelehua Avenue."
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New
material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
