AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING TO TRAFFIC•REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1,
section 24 -255, schedule 3, relating to 25 mile per hour speed
limit zones, is amended by adding a new item to be appropriately
numbered and to read as follows:
"( ) Old Government Main Road in Ookala, North Hilo,
between the 29,4- and 30.5 -mile markers of the Hawaii Belt Road,
Route 19 for a distance of one and six - tenths miles."
SECTION 2. New material is underscored. In printing this
ordinance, the underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the

application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
