AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 7, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE 1983, RELATING TO OPERATION OF VEHICLES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:

SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 7, of the Hawaii County Code
1983 is amended by adding a new division to be appropriately
designated and to be read as follows:
"Division Pedicabs
Section 24- Definition.
(a) As used in this article, unless the context clearly
requires otherwise:
(1) 'Pedicab' means any multi - wheeled, hooded or unhooded

vehicle on, upon, or across any Public street, highway, or
thoroughfare.

SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without
the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
