That in itself is no problem, but what concerns me is that Ms. Sunderland has some issues regarding accounting. The paper(West Hawaii Today April 28th edition)was probably incorrect in saying she was an accountant. As far as I know she is a massage therapist and owner of Hawaii Island Retreat. Myself and others are concerned about the proposed membership of the Property Tax Task Force. Margaret Willie is representing proposed member Ms. Jeanne Sunderland in a Pendency of Action and a Verified Complaint filed 2/8/2013 (Civil# 13-01-098K) against Honopueo Community Association, a land association formed in 2003 of which Ms Sutherland is a member. Ms Sutherland's suit claims that the other 12 members of the land association owe her about 10 times what we believe we may owe for costs on our common roadway. Because of issues regarding the accuracy of Ms. Sunderland's accounting, and because of a potential conflict of interest regarding Ms. Willie's appointment of her client, we strongly suggest you exclude Ms. Sunderland from this task force.
