I consider myself well informed about the pros and cons of GMO crops and foods manufactured for both animal and human consumption. I am strongly opposed to any support of GMO interests on this island by any private investors and businesses, regardless of their level of participation. The dairy farm operation located in O'okala is currently raising and feeding GMO corn as their primary food for their herds. This milk is then sold to local industries, and without consumer knowledge, we are ingesting GMO milk products. Are you eating Tropical Dreams Ice Cream? If so, you are ingesting GMO milk. This is just one of their customers. The rumor is that they plan to plant another 2000 acres of GM() corn as they continue to expand. What effect will this have on other farmers inc lose proximity to the dairy. The assault of cross pollination to to the crops of other farmers can only be halted by banning their GMO crops, and other GMO projects on this market. Please support the local farmers and consumers on this island who support organic crops and the labeling of all GMO source foods. Mahalo, Sandra Sue Jilton PO Box 484 Honokaa, HI 96727 oZ7• Collin.
